Home / How it works

From idle license to recovered budget - without the risk.

Software resale has a reputation for being murky. We built Corveq to make it boringly transparent: a clear process, a fair valuation, and a paper trail that stands up to scrutiny.

Selling unused licenses

Four steps to turn surplus software into cash

Most engagements move from first conversation to payment in a matter of weeks, not quarters.

Assess

Share your entitlements and usage data. We identify which licenses are transferable, which are dormant, and where the resale value actually sits.

Valuate

You receive a written, no-obligation valuation backed by live secondary-market demand - not a vague "we'll see what we can get."

Transfer

We manage the compliant handover: confirming de-installation, verifying provenance, and preparing publisher-aligned transfer records.

Get paid

Once the transfer is certified, you're paid on agreed terms and receive a complete documentation package for your records.

Buying software

Two ways to spend less on what you need

New licenses & subscriptions

We source current-version software and cloud subscriptions across major publishers, then quote competitively and handle procurement paperwork so your team doesn't have to.

Verified pre-owned licenses

Need perpetual licenses but not the perpetual price? We supply pre-owned licenses - each with documented title and de-installation proof - at a substantial discount to list.

What "compliant" really means

The documentation behind every Corveq transaction

A pre-owned license is only worth buying if you can prove you own it. We treat documentation as the product - not an afterthought.

For every license that moves through Corveq, we assemble and verify the records that publishers and auditors look for, then hand the full package to the buyer at close.

  • Proof of the seller's original, lawful purchase
  • Confirmation the license was fully de-installed
  • A single-transaction transfer of the entire entitlement
  • Written transfer declaration and assignment
  • Version and edition records aligned to the publisher's terms
Questions, answered

Relicensing, demystified

Is reselling software licenses actually legal?

Yes, when it's done correctly. Genuine, fully transferred licenses with a clean chain of title and verified de-installation can change hands. Corveq's entire process exists to establish and document that legitimacy for each transaction.

What kinds of licenses can be resold?

Generally, perpetual licenses that the seller owns outright and has stopped using. Subscriptions and term licenses usually can't be transferred. During the assessment we tell you exactly which of your licenses qualify.

Will a pre-owned license survive a publisher audit?

That's the whole point of our documentation package. You receive proof of purchase, de-installation, and transfer for every license - the same evidence an auditor would request.

How is a license valued?

Value reflects current secondary-market demand for that specific product, version, and edition. You get a written figure up front, with no obligation to proceed.

How long does a transaction take?

Assessment and valuation typically take days. The transfer itself depends on the publisher and volume, but most complete in a few weeks.
